Gareth was Young & Phillips first trainee accountant, when he started with the practice back in 1988.
Prior to that, he had gained a B.A Honours degree in Economics from his three years studying in Portsmouth.
Gareth qualified as an accountant, in 1992, and has now been with the firm for 28 years. He's been a partner / director for the last twelve.
After 16 years in the Treorchy office, Gareth moved to the newly opened Pontypridd office in 2004, and has worked successfully from there ever since.
After 28 years in the profession, Gareth has a huge amount of knowledge in a variety of fields, including the construction industry, charities and club accounts, and SME enterprises.
Hobbies/Leisure Time
Away from work, Gareth is married with two daughters. Every weekend throughout the year Gareth is either playing cricket for his beloved Pontypridd Cricket Club, or driving up and down motorways watching the Mighty Bluebirds Cardiff City. And if he manages to find any spare time, that is spent trying to reduce his golf handicap.
